Cookie policy

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device, and "local storage" is a similar way for a site to remember something in your browser. We use a small number of them on crepesalut.com. This policy lists each one, says which are essential and which you can refuse, and explains how to change your choice. The Crepe Salut app doesn't use cookies; what it collects is explained in our Privacy policy.

2. Essential cookies

These keep the website working. They are set without asking, because the site can't do what you've asked without them, and they are never used to track you across other sites.

• Signing in: cookies beginning "sb-", set by Supabase, keep you signed in to your account for as long as you stay signed in. They are shared with franchising.crepesalut.com, our franchising site, so that it knows you are signed in too.
• Your basket: "cs_cart" remembers what's in your shop basket for up to 30 days, and "cs_order_shop" remembers which creperie you chose to order from until you change it.
• Your cookie choice: "cs-cookie-consent", kept in local storage, remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies, so we don't keep asking. It lasts until you clear it or change your choice.
• Payments: when you buy a gift card, Square's payment form sets cookies of its own to detect fraud and keep the payment secure. Our online shop's checkout runs on Shopify, whose pages set the cookies Shopify needs to complete your order.

3. Analytics cookies

If you accept analytics cookies in the banner, we use Customer.io to record which pages are visited and roughly how people move around the site, so we know what to improve. It sets a cookie and local storage entries beginning "cio" or "ajs", holding an anonymous identifier and your consent choice. They last up to 12 months. If you decline, none of this is set, and you lose nothing.

If you are signed in and have accepted these cookies, the pages you visit are linked to your account, so that we can send you more relevant messages. You can switch marketing off at any time in Account > Communications.

4. Embedded content

Some pages include content from other companies, which may set their own cookies when you use it:

• The maps on our Locations pages come from Mapbox. They don't set cookies, but Mapbox receives the map area you look at and may collect anonymous usage statistics.
• The wholesale storefront on our Become a stockist page is provided by Faire, and works under Faire's own cookie and privacy policies.
• Posts from our Instagram feed link to Instagram, where Meta's policies apply.

5. Changing your choice

Choose "Accept" or "Essential only" in the banner when you first visit. To change your mind later, use the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page, which brings the banner back. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser's settings; if you block the essential ones, signing in and the basket won't work.

6. Changes to this policy

We update this list when the website changes. The date at the foot of this page shows when it was last revised.
